Author: Xiao Hong (1911-1942), from Hei Longjiang province. Her original name was Zhang Naiying, and her pen name was Xiao Hong and Qiao Yin. In 1930, she and Xiao Jun completed the prose collection "Shangshi Street"together, and in 1933, she and Xiao Jun published a collection of works "Travel". She went to Shanghai in 1934, and completed the long-length "Field of Life and Death" in the same year, which in the following year, with the help of Lu Xun, it was published as one of the "Slave Series". Thus she has achieved a status in the history of modern literature. In 1936, in order to get rid of her spiritual distress, she traveled eastward to Japan, and wrote the prose "Lonely Life" and the long group poem "Sand" in Tokyo. In 1940, she published "Biography of the Hulan River", which became one of her masterpieces.Illustrator: Gong Yanling, from Nanjing, Jiangsu province, a freelance illustrator. The illustration in the work "Grandfather's Garden" was selected for the 2021 Bologna Illustration Exhibition in Italy. The work "Seamless Needle" was selected in the 55th Bologna International Children's Book Fair in 2018, as China's original illustration exhibition. Her work has been on the shortlist of the 5th Feng Zikai Picture Book Award in 2017, and was selected to enter the 2016 China Original Books Frankfurt Book Fair. The work "A Big Fish Swim East" was shortlisted for the 2015 Bratislava Development Illustration Exhibition (China). In 2010 and 2018, her works were selected into Zhejiang People's Fine Arts Publishing House's "The Height of Illustrations - Selected Works of Children's Picture Books in the World". She has published picture books "Seamless Needle", "Close to You Little by Little", "Pretty Chicks", "Camel Treasure Hunt" and so on.
