On August 31st, 2022, the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) opened in Beijing. On the morning of September 1st, at the Guangxi Investment Promotion Meeting of Projects of Trade in Services, the Group and Asian Think Tank Limited (Malaysia) signed the Overseas Electric Publication Cooperation Agreement, under which both parties will jointly develop the electric publication market in ASEAN countries and promote the multi-channel diffusion of quality culture resources.According to reports, CIFTIS set up the exhibition area of 152,000 square meters, distributed in the two venues at the China National Convention Center and Shougang Park. It attracted more than 400 Fortune global 500 companies and world-leading enterprises participating offline. The Group, as a representative cultural enterprise in the publishing industry in Guangxi, participated in the books exhibition with the publications "The Wisdom of the East Series" and "Wu Gou Talking about the Song Dynasty". Master Suns Art of War in "The Wisdom of the East Series" has been translated into the seven ASEAN countries languages, showing the achievements of Guangxi Normal University Press in promoting the development and external dissemination of China’s excellent traditional cultures.Under this electric publication cooperation agreement reached with Asian Strategic Alliance Limited, the Group implements its integrated development strategy of "publishing + culture + technology". Such action follows the Group’s new development layout of "domestic development first, prior growth in ASEAN and global development", and practices a beneficial attempt to further expand its cultural exchange business with ASEAN countries.

On September 2nd, 2022, the Group and Beijing Guangwei Theatre held a drama signing conference of "Ping Ru Mei Tang: Our Story" in Shanghai, and both parties will make joint efforts to enable the debut of "Ping Ru Mei Tang".Since its publication in 2013,"Ping Ru Mei Tang" has touched so many readers that it has long been included in the recommended list of love books on all major platforms. Douban scored it as high as 9.1 points. The book was selected in "The Beauty of Books in China". RAO Pingru, the author of the book, tells a love story of "love at first sight and attachment all his life". The story line is from the love between him and his wife MAO Meitang wandering for more than 60 years, but is just described by simple and plain words and FENG Zikai styled paintings. The author recalls and preserves the memory of an ordinary Chinese family, image by image, from Mao’s childhood, and also records a beautiful spiritual world of Chinese people.The author, seeing himself as ordinary person, tells a story to contemporary young people and enables more people to find the noble spirit. "This work is full of Shanghai urban and life atmosphere." LIU Yadao expressed the hope that the young audiences yearning for love, the teams concerted efforts and the scarcity of amateur love stories enable this drama to be a leading program in Shanghai, and a "new landmark" of Shanghai drama like Rhinoceros in Love.

On the morning of August 6th, 2022, "French Picture Book Master Serge Bloch’s Art Works Exhibition" was opened on the third floor of the company’s headquarters building. The exhibition was sponsored by our group, undertaken by Guilin Magic Elephant Books Co., Ltd., and specially supported by the Consulate General of France in Guangzhou, the French Foreign Culture Education Bureau, etc.Sylvain Fourriere, French Consul General in Guangzhou, Joachim Boittout, Cultural Consul of Consulate General of France in Guangzhou, TANG Wenhui, Editor-in-Chief of the Group, ZHAO Yunshi, Chairman of Guilin Magic Elephant Books Co., Ltd. and other guests attended the opening ceremony of this exhibition. Serge Bloch, TANG and Fourriere delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.Bloch said in his video speech that he was very happy to publish his three picture books by cooperation with Guangxi Normal University Press and Guilin Magic Elephant Books Co., Ltd. He also expected his works to raise a wave of culture in Guilin, a beautiful scenic city. He said that painting is a simple thing but not simple in other perspectives. People can simply create with brushes at will, but painting can make peoples lives colorful and full of happiness and wonder. He hoped this exhibition could bring different experiences to the audience and stimulate their creative inspiration.Fourriere expressed in his speech his gratitude to the Group, the Groups Art Museum and Guilin Magic Elephant Books Co., Ltd., and wished this exhibition a complete success. He said that Guangxi Normal University Press Group and Guilin Magic Elephant Books Co., Ltd. are committed to introducing French books and disseminating them in China and building an exchange bridge between the two countries and two cultures. He also said that this exhibition is the combination of Blochs humorous, concise and delicate lines with Guilins natural beauty and the converge of artistic beauty and landscape beauty, and it would show a unique visual feast for all audience.This is the first-ever exhibition of the works of art by famous French illustrator and popular visual artist Serge Bloch in Guilin. As a famous French picture book writer, Bloch has won many honors such as the 2005 French Baobab Childrens Book Award, the 2006 IBBY Youth Literature Award, and the Best Childrens Illustration Award of the 2007 Bologna Children’s Book Fair. His works are famous for concise lines and humorous philosophies. He is good at using daily objects such as light bulbs and stones, together with concise lines, to create humorous works with a unique modern style. At this exhibition in Guilin, Bloch specially combined the poetry of Guilin landscape with the romance of France to create a concept image, put the characters in his works in the Lijiang River atmosphere, realizing the mutual fusion of modern art and natural wonders, and also the wonderful amalgamation of Chinese and French cultures.

On the afternoon of August 6th, "Spring of Poets: Contemporary Chinese-French Poetry Readings" with the theme of "Ephemeral" was held in Guilin. Sylvain Fourriere, French Consul General in Guangzhou, Joachim Boittout, Cultural Consul of Consulate General of France in Guangzhou, HUANG Xuanzhuang, Chairman of the Group and ZHANG Junxian, Chairman Assistant attended the event. JIN Longge, French translator and professor of Guilin Tourism University, LIU Chun, poet and planner with nearly 20 Chinese and French poets and musicians attended the event. The poetry-reading event was jointly sponsored by the Consulate General of France in Guangzhou and the Group, and co-organized by the French Teaching and Research Office of the School of Foreign Languages of Guilin Tourism University and Duxiu Bookstore.The poetry-reading event was shown by two parts. Eight French-speaking poets, including Amadou Lamine Sall, Emna Louzyr, Jean Portante, Carl Norac, Danielle Risse, Moëz Majed, Jean-Pierre Simeon and Pierre-Alain Tâche, gave video readings, showing the unique charm of French poets and French poems. Eight Chinese poets, including HU Zibo, HUANG Fang, YU Che, XIAO Pingzi, LIU Chun, MO Yaping, DENG Xueyun and CHEN Guigen, read their poems on site, vividly showing the poets unique artistic thinking and expression. Joachim Boittout and compere LIN Hongye also read poems in both Chinese and French, giving the audience the beauty of Chinese and French languages/poems on site.

On July 25th, 2022, the 2022 Russian "Image of the Book" International Illustration and Book Design Competition announced the award results. The Group’s Silk Road won the original picture book award, and Dandelion Boy Ali won the only talent award in this competition.This annual competition is jointly sponsored by the Publishing and Mass Media Agency (Russian) and the Moscow Book Illustrators and Designers Association (Russia). Since its first holding in 2008, more than 1,000 outstanding illustrators from all over the world have won the award. Silk Road and Dandelion Boy Ali are independently planned by Magic Elephant Books, a childrens book brand of the Group, and are expected to be published at the end of 2022.Silk Road produced by Magic Elephant Books is a picture book of WU Jing. This book is the first Chinese original picture book about "Shu Shen Du Dao" (Silk Road in Southwest China), which tells the adventure story of Shu people using "silk" to open up a cultural trade route to the world. Drawing inspirations from the colors and drawing styles of Dunhuang frescoes, WU fully demonstrated the customs, market commerce, landform and transportation, and cultural products along the Silk Road, helped children experience the Silk Road civilization and inherit the spirit of peaceful development along Silk Road.Dandelion Boy Ali is the first original picture book written and painted by picture book writer CHEN Mengqian. It tells the story of dandelions in the dandelion family who set foot on the journey to find a new home in which they bravely face the difficulties and obstacles in their life journey. This book features in fresh, natural, smart and free illustration style, and it was shown in the Illustration Exhibition of Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2021. CHEN, a new generation creator, is expected to become a new Chinese force to go towards internationally.Since 2019, the original childrens books of the brand "Magic Elephant" issued by our group have performed well. Is It Wrong?, Fly, Fly and Fly, Moonrise and Egret Bird on Cows Back won awards such as original picture book award and childrens book illustration award.

On the morning of July 9th, the 2022 Wangdao Publishing Forum with theme of "Systematically enhance theoretical research, publishing and dissemination, and build a strong sense of the Chinese nation community" opened in Nanning.Guangxi Normal University is the main force of "revitalizing Guangxi by humanity improvement" and one in the first batch of "research bases for building the consciousness of the Chinese nation community" in Guangxi. It is an important mission for the University to comprehensively carry out the theoretical research on building the consciousness of the Chinese nation community and strengthen the preaching and dissemination of the consciousness of the Chinese nation community. Since its establishment, Guangxi Normal University Press has actively made due contributions with the focus on the overall situation and central work of the economic and social development and cultural construction in Guangxi. This forum focuses on the theoretical research and publishing dissemination of the Chinese nation community consciousness, which also tallies with the consistent publishing purpose and cultural responsibility of the Press.
