Recently, the Hall de Cultura, the long-term strategic partner, and the Group have made a new step in copyright cooperation. On the morning of September 15th, both sides held a signing ceremony for copyright cooperation at the 28th Beijing International Book Fair. JIANG Chun, Vice Chairman of Macao Culture, Education and Publishing Association, ZHAO Xiangling, General Manager of Hall de Cultura, HUANG Xuanzhuang, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Group, TANG Wenhui, Deputy Party Secretary and Chief Editor of the Group, and others attended the signing ceremony.

TANG Wenhui made a speech first. He reviewed the years of in-depth cooperation between the Group and Hall de Cultura, and commended the achievements of cooperation such as “On Hong Kong and Macao Literature” (Macao Edition) in “Macao Oral History Series”. He believed that the two sides had insisted on building a bridge between Macao culture and mainland culture through publishing for many years, and their social responsibilities and development directions were closely linked. Hall de Cultura is a folk publishing platform that has gained great reputation rapidly in Macao in recent years. It is committed to the collation, publishing and distribution of Macao’s history and culture, and has a large number of historical documents for development and cooperation. The Group has always put social benefits in the first place, adhered to the publishing concept of “opening people’s wisdom and inheriting civilization”, comprehensively implemented cross regional and cross domain development strategies in recent years, and carried out extensive publishing cooperation worldwide. Both sides have established a good foundation for cooperation. TANG Wenhui said that he was looking forward to the future in-depth cooperation in copyright.

JIANG Chun said that under the conditions of the narrow book market and the lack of professional talents in Macao, the great progress made by Hall de cultura in a few years could not be separated from the strong support and help of the mainland publishing houses, especially Guangxi Normal University Press. While thanking the group company, she was also full of expectations for the future copyright cooperation between the two sides. She hoped that the two sides can select each other from the topic selection stage to enter the copyright cooperation stage, so as to share resources in design, editing, proofreading and printing, and achieve a win-win situation. She also hoped that Macao’s publishing industry could integrate into the mainland more quickly, strive to become bigger and stronger, give full play to the role of Macao’s Portuguese platform, and give play to Macao’s unique advantages in the process of combining “bringing in” and “going global”.

After the speech, ZHAO Xiangling and TANG Wenhui signed the copyright cooperation agreement. HUANG Xuanzhuang and JIANG Chun witnessed the cooperation as witnesses.
