For them, Liu Sanjie has always been a saint, a symbol of the integrity, sensuality and resilience of their mountain culture. Since the end of the 1950s, based on the sorting and adaptation of the original folk tales, Liu Sanjie has become a well-known cultural landmark and an important intangible cultural heritage in Guangxi after being demonstrated in different forms, such as drama, film, novel, poetry, etc.HUANG Shaozheng, the author of the English Translation and Singing of Liu Sanjies Folk Songs (Chinese-English Comparison) (published by the Group), carefully selected from many literary and television works, and translated the scripts of Liu Sanjie opera and other popular Liu Sanjies ballads into modern English with two aims topmost in his mind: readable and singable for the first time. This book aims to provide a translated text that is both literary and performative, and can be recognized by English readers, so as to provide a reliable singing basis for Liu Sanjies songs and legends to go out of China and into the world.Mark Tredinnick spoke highly of HUANG Shaozhengs translation in the video. He said: "HUANG Shaozheng is an excellent translator. He translated the New Covenant and Gibrans poetry into Chinese, and JIDI Majias poetry and speeches into English. He is one of the most outstanding bilingual translators in China." On the morning of September 15th, the Launching Ceremony of the Development Project of Chinese Original Picture Book for Childrens International Chinese Curriculum was held at the 28th Beijing International Book Fair. Recently, the 2021 Research Report on the Influence of Overseas Collection of Chinese Books was released by China Publishing & Media Journal. The Group ranked 18th in the list of the influence of overseas collection of Chinese books, and ranked 2nd among university presses. It has been ranked among the top 20 publishing houses in the list of the influence of overseas collection of Chinese books for eight consecutive years, and among the top 100 for 10 consecutive years. In the past 10 years, 2,857 kinds of books have been permanently collected by the overseas library system. The Group ranked 12th among the 41 publishing houses that have been selected into the list of the top 100 publishing houses for 10 consecutive years, and ranked 3rd among university presses. As of 2021, 10 issues have been published. Based on the bibliographic data from publishing institutions in Chinese mainland in the world library system, the Report tracks the circulation of Chinese publications in the world and outlines the scope of the spread of Chinese culture in the world today. This annual evaluation study is based on the third-party objective data, which not only provides the publishing industry with timely feedback from the publishing institution market in the world on publications in Chinese mainland, but also enriches the communication academias methods and means for communication effect research. The overseas collection data in the Report has become an industry recognized objective indicator for the Chinese publishing industry to measure the worlds influence.For a long time, the Group has positively responded to “the Belt and Road Initiative”, implemented the strategic deployment of development and “going global” of China’s culture, shouldered the responsibility and mission of state-owned cultural enterprises. On July 29th, the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China held the Fifth Government Publishing Award Commendation Meeting in Beijing. 123 kinds of publications, 50 advanced publishers and 69 outstanding publishing figures who won the Honorary Award, Book Award, Periodical Award, Audio-visual Electronic and Network Publication Award, Printing Reproduction Award and Binding Design Award of the Fifth Government Publishing Award were commended. The Groups Catalogue of the Cover of Old Textbooks in China (all five volumes) won the Printing Reproduction Award, and the Collection of Rare Ming Poems Collected in Japan (Album 1) (41 books) and the Compilation of Chinese Translation of Manchu Archives in Xinjiang in Qing Dynasty (1-10 books) won the Book Nomination Award of the Fifth Government Publishing Award. The picture printing color of this book shows the original exquisite patterns of the old teaching materials. With wires locked and bound on the back and letter box exquisitely made, it is designed to an unity of fine content + exquisite printing with strong visual sense; the Collection of Rare Ming Poems Collected in Japan (Album I) (41 books), which won the Book Nomination Award, was planned and published by Beijing Literature Publishing Center of the Group, and was the "National Special Fund Supported Project for the Arrangement and Publication of Ancient Books" in 2019. The book contains eighteen collections of the Ming Dynasty poems collected in Japanese Cabinet Library and Jingjiatang Library, which is helpful to the further study of literature and culture in the Ming Dynasty, and also provides a solid foundation for the further development of Chinese classics research to a deeper level; the Compilation of Chinese Translation of Manchu Archives in Xinjiang in Qing Dynasty (book 1-10), which also won the Book Nomination Award, was planned and published by the Literature Branch of the Group.
